Oil Creek State Park was the 2010 National Gold Medal “Grand Award” winner for excellence in park and recreation management.
Oil Creek 100 Trail Runs is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization through Road Runners Club of America’s (RRCA) group exemption status – for the betterment and promotion of Oil Creek State Park, PA’s natural resources, the entire Oil Region, and long distance trail running.

6/5/2014 – OC100 sponsors Greenways & Trails “Partner of the Year” award for our super-volunteer group the “Over the Hill Gang”
The race sponsored the bronze plaque & tree to be planted at the park on behalf of the groups outstanding service to the park and the Gerard Hiking Trail ! Dave Hallman, Park Manager, nominated them for the award and presented it to them. The OTHG was represented by Denny Pattison (blue windbreaker), Duane Whitehill (khaki coat with blue collar), and Dennis Hartle (khaki coat & hat). Tom Jennings (green OC100 sweatshirt), Race Director of OC100, presented the plaque in the right photo.

The race has sponsored a portable toilet to supplement the handicap unit the park provides at the very busy Jersey Bridge canoe launch parking lot at the north end of the park near Drake Well Museum – mid-April through mid-October each year.
4/5/2014 – OC100 donates $250 for the “MEET-U in 5” mile trail race at Drake Well Museum
